Should I allow my mom to see the grandchildren?

so i am not officially da/do yet and my family has shunned me hard.

today crying my mother calls me to beg to see my children... should i let her?

i feel that if you can speak abusive of your own son and wife and shun the.

This is purely a personal decision. Either way there's going to be hurt.

Outlaw nailed it for me!! Your kids are going to be the focus of "being saved" by your mother, and she will eventually ask if the kids can stay over some weekends, (guess what for!!) so I would lay down the terms and conditions as, "We come to visit you as a family, and we leave as a family".

If she can't accept such reasonable terms, then you will have to tell her that you will explain her Organizational command never to associate with you again, as long as you don't agree with what her Org teaches her!!

It's her choice.

better to stay in or get out

i put in a da letter a couple of weeks ago but the elders have not opened the letter and wish to meet with me first.

i've seen the stress this has caused me and my family as well as the alienation of me from the family spiritually.

so the question is can i do more to get my kids out of this cult by staying a member going to meetings some times and planting seeds or get out and try to then get the kids out over time?

Weird!! They haven't opened your letter yet? Whatever happens, the wolf-pack is going to give you some grief for doubting God's direct channel of communication on earth!!

Why not choose the option to fade from within - become an inactive publisher and very limited meeting attendance. That's part of my plan. Elders can't be bothered with people like that - too much trouble & a waste of time!

I could do with some help please?

so the elder i studied with called round last wednesday.

i didn't tell him i'd lost my faith, i just said there are a number of reasons i wouldn't be able to return to either my studies or the meetings.

he asked me whar 2 or 3 of my reasons are so we could discuss them.. my reply: 1 i think all christians should partake of the bread and wine.

Heathen - "The WTBTS thinks they'll make it in the kindom hall , I find that highly unlikely."

The Org suggests that the "interior room" of Isaiah 26:20 could represent Kingdom Halls! :) Don't thinks so!

A more reasonable understanding of "interior rooms" (imho) is found at Proverbs 24:4 "And by knowledge will the interior rooms be filled with all precious and pleasant things of value."

What does knowledge fill? The mind! Therefore, we will rely on what we've learned - not bricks & mortar! And certainly not a lovely new complex in Warwick, U.S.A!

Advice on children

my ex-wife got married in december last year.

so our visting arrangement with my children has changed.

there was a misunderstanding in our visiting arrangment, we agreed on that they would spend the weekends (once in two weeks) with me they would stay until sunday.

Regardless of your views on what goes on at Kingdom Halls, (I agree with you!) your legal and moral position is this - the time you are allowed to spend with your children is YOUR time, nothing to do with your ex-wife. Ask her if she would mind if you took them from her during HER time, in order to take them to a Mormon religious service, and then you'll return them 2 hours later!!

I'm sure she will think this would be an amicable arrangement!! :)

The Biggest Fear From The Watchtower Organization Is ???

i think the organization is worried most about how jws will stay loyal to their families even as it rejects the admonition of the gb and elders..

A dictator/liar's biggest fear is being exposed! Therefore, his absolute priority must be damage limitation, by using every threat possible to prevent his victims from listening to anyone who has escaped from his clutches. Such ones are awakened friends and relatives and the Internet!

As such, threatening and condemnatory "counsel" will spew ever increasingly from the GB, culminating in disfellowshipping for anyone who frequents so-called apostate websites or associates with already D/Fd friends and relatives!

You can't control the income if you can't control the sheep!

recently, i received this email from my jw sister: .

while i appreciate the thought, please do not send us gifts.. our kids are not missing out on anything other than things we try to protect them from.. at this time, based on prior encounters and their affect on me emotionally, i think it would be best if we didn't communicate.. i hope you can understand my decision and the fact that it is not meant to offend anyone.. .

i sent her a loving and forgiving message, and know she has no intention of answering me.

I'd let him come. Things written down may dissuade him from taking notice of your contentions, but in a face-to-face discussion, he's obliged to answer whatever Bible or doctrinal questions you ask him. (1 Peter 3:15)

Just keep in mind that your motive is to get HIM to think and question exactly what he's trying to convince people is the truth. You are not trying to destroy his faith in the Bible - only in the Org!!
